Hello! My name is RayRay and my passion is Computer Emulation and History. In the first incarnation of this site I will mostly be giving emulation tips and tutorials. Eventually, I will branch out to computer history and more modern computing topics.

A few things about me. I have been in love with computers ever since I saw my cousin’s TRS-80 Model I in the late 70s. In the late 80s I got my first PC, an Acer XT clone and then I got a job at Radio Shack mostly selling computers. From there I went to college for computers and have studied topics from NetWare, to hardware to COBOL.

There are many systems I like to emulate. The systems I like to emulate most are almost any from Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Apple Macintosh, Apple IIgs, Commodore Amiga, anything from Radio Shack, early DOS and Windows machines both PC Compatible and otherwise, old UNIX and BSD based machines especially those by HP, Sun and Silicon Graphics, and even though I’ve never touch a real one I love Acorn ARM systems such as the Archimedes and Risc PC.

The emulators I use most are Simh, MAME, and Qemu which are multi-system emulators, 86Box for x86 machines from the original IBM Model 5150 PC to the Pentium II, trs80gp for early Radio Shack systems including the Model I, Model III and 4, Model II and its progeny and the Color Computer 1/2, Mini vMac, Basilisk II and SheepShaver for Classic Macintoshes and Arculator and RPCEmu for Acorn ARM based computers. I do use many others but those are my main ones.

A note of caution: Although I will be share some software and disk images here, I need to make abundantly clear that I do not share by either download or link any software that I cannot get from either http://www.archive.org, http://www.bitsavers.org, and a few other select reputable sites.
